Who we are
WattJobs ("we") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect and why
- Newsletter (Watt Weekly): your email address. We use these only to send the newsletter you asked for. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Emails you send us: we use your message and email address to reply, e.g. to removal or correction requests. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the service.
- Featured job posts: when you buy a featured post, payment is handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Dublin), which processes your card or bank details, billing address and any VAT number under its own privacy policy. We never see your full card number. We keep the order record (your email, the job details, amount and payment status) to publish the listing, send invoices and meet tax record-keeping rules. Your email is never published. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations.
- Job listings: listings describe roles, not people. We don't collect personal data about job seekers; you apply on the employer's own site.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses no tracking cookies, no analytics scripts and no third-party advertising.
Who we share data with
Watt Weekly is sent through beehiiv (beehiiv, Inc.), which stores subscriber email addresses on our behalf as a processor. See beehiiv's privacy policy. We don't sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days. Correspondence is kept for up to 2 years.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
